4 months old!

Mr. B turned 4 months old on November 30, 2013! This little man is just growing like a weed, as they say.

He actually had his 4 month checkup this morning, and here are his stats:

Height: 25.25 inches long (38th %)
Weight: 15 pounds, 4 ounces (43rd %)
Head circumference: 16.75 inches (75th %) – smart boy ;)

He had a great appointment. This was the second round of shots but he did so great! Unfortunately, he does have RSV, but it isn’t severe and we think he’s probably headed towards the end of it.

Mr. Brooks, here’s what you’ve been up to this month:

You are really starting to show even more personality! You love to make eye contact with us and laugh at us. Your laugh is absolutely my favorite sound in the entire world. You think it’s especially funny when I say “ho ho ho, Merry Christmas!” You usually just start cracking up.

You are doing great at holding your head up. You love to sit in your bumbo with the tray and play with some toys. I’ve also seen you having a blast bouncing in a jumperoo thing at school so we ordered one for the house and it should be here this week. We may start sitting you in the high chair in the kitchen in the next week or two. You’re still not a huge fan of tummy time but you seem to tolerate it a little better now that you can lift your head more easily.

You can roll from back to belly like a pro. You’ve even slept like that for a couple of nights. It was scary for me but I just had to trust that everything would be okay. You still can’t roll from belly to back but the doctor said that will happen soon!

You’re eating 7 ounces of formula five times per day. You are a spitter-upper so you net a little less than that. We’ve become professionals at our bedtime routine. At 7:30, we head upstairs for bathtime, then PJ’s, then possibly a book, then your bottle. You are doing great at going to sleep within a few minutes after we put you down. I attribute this to our awesome sound machine! (this one)

You have started reaching for things, and last night Zoey came near you and you even reached both arms out to her! Ha! You did great on Thanksgiving and loved being with family. You aren’t spoiled at all. Not one bit.

I’m so excited to experience the Christmas season with you. We love you so much!
